Wide Spread Financial Illiteracy

0

So after reading quite a few articles lately, something occurred to me about this current generation…

Men And Boys…

0

So I was on Facebook just now and came across this (below). This is a subject that I can probably speak about for hours, but I’ll spare those of you who may actually read about this.

Men And Boys

I “liked” it and responded with:

“Very nice! Every once in a while I doubt myself on this. I sometimes feel that I may not have chosen the path that I truly want to pursue… Then I come across something like this and realize that I’m still on the desired avenue… It will all be worth it in the end…”

Grad Student Attacked by Pack of Kids (Story)

Grad Student Attacked by Pack of Kids (Story)…

The situation was that some lady (probably African American) insisted on playing the “race card”, yet still also insisted that she was “open-minded”…

====================================

Please pardon the tirade…

@Nicole: For being as open-minded as you claim, you seemed to use the word “racist” very early on. So early, that you didn’t really get @Joe’s perspective before using it. Perhaps @Joe’s original comment was about the kids who helped the victim (note that everything after the Race Card [aka Ace Card] was played, he was trying to defend himself). I wonder what your response would have been if his initial response was “I was talking about the kids who helped him…”

On another note, surely if the attacking was done by the proverbial “little green men” (aliens), we would leave out the fact that they were little, green, and men. Otherwise we could be considered to be (correspondingly) physical elitists, racists, and sexists, just by repeating the description of the attackers. My, my… When do we accept our diversity and stop with the foregone conclusions? Were they African-American? Anyone familiar with the area would say, Yes… (I used to live a few blocks from there) Was the victim white? Yes… (Oh wait… Maybe this was a “hate crime”…) Is the sky blue? Yes. Calling the sky blue doesn’t make me a racist. Calling a white guy white doesn’t make me a racist. Calling African-Americans African-American doesn’t make me a racist.

By the way, I wonder if the textbooks were still in the bag when the kids dropped it. Does anybody know? Perhaps the kids wanted to learn that material SOOOO BADLY, that they were willing to beat the Grad Student up to get it…

Mr. Warren Buffett… Brilliant…

0

This is funny… I fully support Mr. Buffett. He’s simply doing his job, yet everyone (including the President of the United States of America) seems to twist his words to say whatever it is that they want his message to be (or not be). I suppose this may be the true measure of the weight of his words. Mr. Buffett is a very smart man and, fortunately for him, he really doesn’t have to explain himself. However, no matter how futile his attempt may be, I feel that he does still attempt to fully clarify himself. Although further clarification from him means further twisting by everyone else…

“Occupy Wall Street”-ers

0

(Me opining) I’ve always thought of greed as wanting something for nothing… However, Dictionary(.)com states “excessive or rapacious desire”. I believe the “occupy-ers” believe greed is something on the opposite side of the spectrum. One should ask “How did the 1% end up being the 1%? What were the steps they took to get there?”… Excessive or rapacious desire, possibly?

[Pardon the comparison, but...] Perhaps the journey from being nobody to being the BEST at anything manifests itself specifically through “excessive or rapacious desire”. That being said, I wonder if anybody is occupying Michael Jordan’s yard, or Wayne Gretzky’s yard… Or the yard of anybody else who is considered the BEST at anything…

I’m sure many of the 1% have worked incredibly hard to get there and stay there. This includes THINKING, usually taking risks that a sane human being wouldn’t dream of taking, adapting to situations and adversity, finding advantages where nobody else sees them, etc.

I believe those that really are greedy are the ones that want something for nothing, which is why those types will never be the BEST.

P.S. In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn’t matter what you throw at the 1%, their “greed” will ALWAYS overcome and find an advantage somewhere… But good luck to the 99% anyway… Hahaha!

P.P.S. I hope the “occupy-ers” aren’t using (wearing, driving, listening to, etc.) anything that was made by any corporation, as that would seem to nullify just about any argument they could have against corporations…

UFO Theory…

0

I’m not sure if you’ve already researched this, but there are a few ideas that (after doing quite a bit of research) have come to light. This is just one theory of mine as far as the “glowing” or “orb-like” UFOs are concerned. Note that this doesn’t cover every single sighting out there, but it probably covers quite a few. Also, I must also state that most, if they choose to shield themselves from an objective perspective, may just brush this off… But to each their own…

There seems to be a correlation (or two) between seismic activity and the aforementioned types of UFOs (Search terms: plate tectonics, hydrogen ions, seismic activity, ufos, etc.). My theory: Plate tectonics (seismic activity) create glowing hydrogen ions. Since they’re very large plates and the pressure is enormous, this will create many elements above ground and in water that appear to be UFOs.

The UFOs (hydrogen ions) will glow, come out of nowhere, disappear, move at extreme rates of speed, float in mid-air, and just about everything else that these are known for. It seems pretty straight-forward if one looks at the science.

Please let me know your thoughts…

Sex / Monogamy / Virginity

0

Please don’t take any of this personally, these are just my thoughts and theories…

I think there’s this perception that “pure” women are this “holy grail” and men are just trying to “get a piece”. What about a “pure” man? It seems like it’s the complete opposite for a man. It’s like you’re a loser if you haven’t “done it”.

Some of my theories about the challenges of staying a virgin for men and women are like this:

  • A woman has to get through without falling in love so hard that she can’t even think straight. Which I assume is pretty tough based on my inability to find any in my dating processes. This can mean that after a break-up she goes out and “does it” with someone out of spite for the EX. Women seem to have a slight advantage over men in that it seems to usually take time for her to actually fall in love.
  • A man has this urge that frequently shows up unannounced (often in the blink of an eye) that he really doesn’t have much control over. Once it shows up, it can lead to many things that were never intended. He says things he wouldn’t normally say and does things he wouldn’t normally do, if the urge wasn’t around. Thus, the challenge for him is to do EVERYTHING possible to resist the urge, which I will say takes seemingly SUPERHUMAN WILL POWER.

I’m a man and am about to turn 32. I’m a virgin… Needless to say, I’m not really into the whole sex thing. At first, it was a religious thing for me, but now (for me) I realized it has nothing to do with that. There are many logical reasons for not doing it (potential kids, STDs, etc.). I’m sure it feels pretty good and all, especially based on my responses that I have received from friends that say it is the best pleasure ever. For me, if that is indeed the case, I prefer to share ‘the best pleasure ever’ with one person. Plus, the results wouldn’t be that bad. One would think having a kid with someone you can’t imagine life without, wouldn’t seem like that big of a deal. :D

Anyway, I hope I wasn’t getting all “goody goody” for anyone…
